Ege University, Department of Bioengineering first time admitted students through OSYM exam in 2000 with the resolution taken on 12.04.2000 by Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK)’s Executive Committee.

Master of Science Program in Bioengineering was established at the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences of Ege University during the academic year of 2001–2002 and doctorate program was introduced during the academic year of 2004–2005.
